Guitar Art

Old discarded guitars still have a song to sing. Below is "Dock of the Bay." In February 1968 just out of high school, quit the garage band, dropped out of college. I travelled by train from my home in northeast Georgia to Atlanta--hopped a plane to California to join the Navy and "See the World."

By the end of February I was sitting on the dock of the bay singing that song to myself. It was personal. I had no idea Otis had died in Dec 1967 before it was published in January of 1968. This was my coming of age anthem as I left my my home in Georgia to enter manhood and life. What a hell of a trip it has been. This guitar is my homage to Otis for giving me comfort in my first foray into the real world.

Here's a challenge: Tell me what the sun is made from.  It would normally be something an artist would discard.
